Every year my seniors seem to keep upping the bar of how awesome, laid back and generally cool they are. Every year I think to myself, "There's no way we can match last year's class..." And yet, somehow we do.
That brings me to Mae. She was so fun and relaxed at her session and it made my job, SO DANG EASY. I remember being so excited to meet her at her consult because she was so go with the flow and she has the most gorgeous hazel eyes, probably on the planet. Enjoy a few of our favorites!
We tried out some old favorites and a few new locations for Mae's session. These white, wooden stairs paired perfectly with her cheer uniform and poms. Plus, we all know I'm a sucker for some plain ol' silver bleachers. I always get a little excited when I get Platte-Geddes cheerleaders at the studio. Their cheer jackets are the cutest. The perfect mix of a modern varsity jacket and a little vintage flair.
This is the perfect way to wear your black dress for senior images. We kept it fairly simple with locations so Mae could really shine. But she paired that dress with the perfect Tiffany blue accessories to really jazz up a simple closet staple. Plus, can we take a minute to talk about Mae's class ring? I am OBSESSED WITH IT. My class ring was the chunky, silver ring with very little flair. It's basically what every senior had back in 2005 (heyo, I'm aging myself). But Mae's ring is dainty and gorgeous and so different and basically what class ring dreams are made of.
Colored lace was so big this year. So imagine my excitement when Mae brought this little tribal printed pink dress to her session. Paired with those gorgeous greens of midsummer and you own't hear a single complaining peep out of me. SO PRETTY.
Never, ever be afraid to keep it simple at your senior session. This outfit was such a fave because of it's simplicity. Mae's Navy floral skirt was so cute and paired with a simple white tee made it that much more effective in creating a chill vibe and it worked in both country and urban settings!
This field and this girl together. Somebody pinch me. Summer is infamous for giving us this beautiful, warm, golden light and I will always love it. It's worth the heat and long nights for images like these with wonderful people like Mae! And that floral kimono. Stop. Stop while we are so far ahead.
The end of our night started as magically as it started. We went down to one of my favorite beaches to get near the water and have a little end of the night fun. We may not have ocean beaches, but our Midwestern river beaches can be just a beautiful. Thank you for choosing KSP, Mae!
