South Dakota Senior Portrait Photographer | Alexis :: Class of 2017 Platte-Geddes Senior

When we originally set up Alexis' session, we were doing a late evening August session. Well, South Dakota has a funny way of not playing very nice when it comes to weather. After attempting to find multiple evenings that would work, we decided to give a morning a try. And even for August, we had a very cool, damp morning. We made the best of it and Alexis had some of my favorite golden hour images. She was quite the trooper through the temperature and we got to try a few locations that we don't normally get to because of the level of light or the position of the sun. Alexis is so fun to photograph and she was just the perfect way to start my day at work! Here's a few favorites!

This amazing teal blue was the perfect color for Alexis in that morning light. It made her gorgeous blue eyes sparkle.

This is a location we started to use this year and I have to say, it is so, so good in the morning and that wine-colored cold shoulder top paired with THOSE SHOES let's talk about amazing. Girl, stop.

This outfit was so fun. I loved those tribal print shorts.

This may have been my favorite outfit and I loved this little location and how it looks different in the morning.

Alexis is an amazing volleyball player and it was so fun to watch her in her senior season. After we did her outside shots, we went in to the studio to do her sports images and I have to tell you guys, I was so excited with how these turned out. That middle shot is probably my favorite in studio shot this year. I can remember sitting in the studio setting this shot up and I explained to Alexis and her mama and I told them....this is going to seem crazy, but I promise it will work and it will be cool. And cool it was. I loved Alexis face when I showed her on the back of the camera. It's one of the best things in my job. Thank you for choosing KSP, Alexis! It was amazing working with you!
