I am pretty sure that Ashley's fall session was our most weather-extreme adventure yet. To start, we took Ashley's summer seasonal in the morning on a fairly chilly morning. She was a trooper though and we pushed through it. The second session we had to reschedule for rain and we thought we picked a pretty good reschedule day. Her mama and I checked the weather multiple times and it said sunny and fair. So Sam and I hopped in the car and headed to Scotland. As we are about half way there, the clouds start to roll in.
As Ashley is in hair and makeup, her dad walks in and tells us, "it's misting." So we all sort of look at each other and say, "What do we do?" We made the decision to give it a try and just went for it. We shot through an entire session of mist. And this is by far one of my favorite overcast sessions I have ever shot. You could have cut the air with a knife, it was so humid but we got to use so many locations that we wouldn't have been able to in full sun. And Ashley was amazing. We had to wring out clothes and shoes but this girl toughed through it all with an awesome smile and a go with the flow attitude that only made our day that much better. I'm so excited that I got to work with her this year. Here are a mix of her summer and misty fall images!
Thank you for braving the elements and being such a good sport, Ashley! You were so fun to photograph in the mist! Wishing you the best at college, my dear!
